Frank from the lovely city of Copenhagen Denmark asked us the following question. Who is the Protopresbyter Father Seraphim Johnson? He is an Eastern Orthodox Christian priest, and was recently given the rank of Protopresbyter. Born in Miami Florida in 1944, he was originally raised in the Episcopalian church, however later he converted to Orthodox Christianity, and was made an official father. As an affluent academic, he mastered many of the Slavic languages, and was able to contribute greatly to the Orthodox Church within the United States. In 2005 he was made a Protopresbyter, which is an archpriest, and a rank that holds much honor and seniority. Sadly Father Seraphim Johnson passed away in 2009, however his great legacy and contributions to his faith live on. I would like to thank our visitor Frank for sending in this question.
